Our Story

LocalVision Marketing is a company born in two places: Great Neck, NY, and South Miami, FL. A big reason home is home has to do with the unique culture and experiences you can have there. One thing a New Yorker and Miamian have in common is the pride they have for the place they came from, and this is something they recognized when they moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida. The story starts here, as members of the Zimmerman Advertising Program — where we met as roommates, funny enough — though it begins to grow in June of 2024 as interns at the agency itself. In Ft. Lauderdale, the pair learned vital information about the advertising industry and were given the opportunity to make vital connections with the people who worked in it themselves. Though one thing really stuck out to us: how effective certain digital marketing channels had been, especially at organically growing communities surrounding the brands they represented. 

While back in Tampa, Matthew stumbled on an opportunity. He was made aware of a position in marketing with a reputable franchise. This is something he took full advantage of. With the guidance of his superiors, he learned effective field marketing tactics. Tactics he refined over time. Over 10 grand in trackable sales later, the results spoke for themselves. A restaurant that was bottom 10 in the franchise is now top 5 in sales growth. This was achieved by going out into the community and establishing a connection with the people in the area, making a brand more personable in the most organic way. That was the power of in-person marketing. A good conversation goes way further than any billboard, radio ad, TV spot, and is also way more programmatic than the mass marketing tactics employed by a majority of traditional advertising agencies. Combining this truth with our established understanding of digital marketing tactics seemed like a great idea, though one final thing was missing. Who was our perfect client?

As an agency that prides itself on its unique blend of in-person and digital marketing tactics, we thrived on community-based approaches, and thus we figured out the perfect client: The Local Spots. LocalVision Marketing Inc. was born. A marketing company focused on growing local businesses that serve a quality product. Growing up between Queens and Long Island, Justin learned how to read a room, connect with people, and bring ideas to life at an early age. That instinct naturally pulled him toward advertising and the challenge of making ideas resonate. He has built experience in social media and marketing for small businesses, student-led events, and national brands. At LocalVision, he focuses on digital strategy, campaign planning, and making sure every brand is seen the way it’s meant to be.

Matthew Savage

Head of Business Development

Hailing from sunny South Miami, three qualities that describe Matthew are creative, confident, and analytical. He got his first job when he was only 15, working at a local fresh market he grew up going to. Since then, he’s become a veteran in handling clients on behalf of a company and has built on his experience in this field by working at established companies such as Fisher Investments and Zimmerman Advertising. Thanks to his experience at Portillo’s, as well as his own personal endeavors, he’s learned and refined techniques in community outreach, partnership negotiation, and event planning.
